Race priorities for the next public test
The next public test is described as expanding race availability, with particular emphasis on races considered visually and thematically distinctive to Scars of Honor.
Baron and Gronthar prioritization
Baron and Gronthar are identified as priority races for the next public test. They are described as unique races that should be placed front and center in the game's presentation.
This prioritization is tied not only to visual identity, but also to class fit. The goal is to showcase combinations that feel natural to the setting and strengthen the game's faction flavor.
Race-class fit and druid support
The decision to prioritize Baron and Gronthar is explained partly through druid planning. Human and dwarf are discussed as technically possible fits for druid, but not especially compelling ones. Baron is described as a much stronger fit for druid on one side, while Gronthar is treated as the most suitable available option for the opposing faction.
Undead, inferno demon, and orc are mentioned as poor or less suitable matches for druid in this context. This race-class compatibility discussion is presented as one of the practical reasons the race roadmap changed.
Faction identity through race selection
The race choices are framed as a way to strengthen faction identity in testing. Rather than using only more conventional fantasy races, the plan is to highlight races that better represent Scars of Honor's own world and visual identity.
Baron and Gronthar are therefore treated as more than cosmetic additions; they are part of how the game intends to distinguish itself.
