Druid caster and tank form community vote

The recording centers on community selection of visual forms for the druid class, especially the default caster form. Nine caster-form concepts are presented for comparison, alongside a previously chosen tank form.

The druid tank form shown in the stream is identified as the community choice from an earlier vote. That selected version is described as having been refined further so viewers can better see how the final in-game form may look.

Caster form concept lineup

Nine candidate designs are shown for the druid caster form. The concepts are discussed primarily in terms of whether they communicate a suitable druid identity through nature motifs, mysticism, silhouette, and posture.

Several recurring visual criteria are mentioned:

  • a strong sense of nature and mysticism
  • a posture that reads as a caster rather than a melee form
  • bark, horn, forest-creature, or spirit-like elements
  • a silhouette that can serve as the default form for all players

One concept is described as especially aggressive in posture, raising concern that it may read too much like a melee form rather than a caster form. Another is noted for bark-like arms and fists. A different option is highlighted for a helmet-like head treatment integrated into the form. Later-numbered concepts are characterized broadly as forest-creature variants.

Community reactions in chat vary widely, with support spread across multiple entries. In the live discussion, forms two and three appear to emerge as leading options, with three briefly treated as the front-runner, though the tally remains close. There is also explicit hesitation about form three because its presentation is considered too masculine or too aggressive for the intended caster fantasy.

Default form and cosmetic variants

The selected vote is framed as a choice for the default druid form rather than the only form that will exist. The default version is intended to be granted to all players at no extra cost.

Other concepts are described as candidates for later cosmetic variants. The stream states that Scars of Honor plans to monetize through cosmetics rather than pay-to-win features, so alternate druid forms can still appear in the game as paid visual options even if they are not chosen as the free default.

This same approach is applied to the previously chosen tank form. An additional tank-form exploration, including a stone-rhino-like variant, is shown as an example of a possible paid skin built from the same community-vote process.

Community voting process

The form selection is presented as part of the game's community-driven development model. Viewers are asked to vote during the stream and also through Discord, where the larger tally is expected to determine the final result.

The earlier druid tank-form vote is said to have received roughly 350 votes. That number is used as an example of active community participation in visual decisions for the game.

The stated goal is to let the community help determine which visual direction best represents the druid archetype while keeping all candidate concepts within the game's approved art direction.
