Planned server regions for the playtest

Server planning for the public playtest is discussed as an operational question tied to player distribution. The initial expectation mentioned is two servers, one for Europe and one for North America, but community responses during the recording lead to a broader regional plan.

Initial regional plan

The first stated plan is to support Europe and America for the test. This is presented as the baseline assumption before checking where the audience is actually located.

Expanded server consideration

After reviewing community polling and prior location data, the recording concludes that additional regions should be supported. Four locations are identified as the practical target for the playtest:

  • Paris
  • New York
  • São Paulo
  • Melbourne

This expansion is driven by visible interest from Latin America and Australia in addition to Europe and North America.

Purpose of regional coverage

The regional server discussion is tied to the public technical test format. Because the test is meant to gather broad participation and stress-test infrastructure, server placement is treated as important for both accessibility and useful technical results.

The recording does not present this as a final long-term service map, but as the current direction for the April playtest based on available community data.
