Soul Ring origin and purpose
The Soul Ring is presented as a central infernal artifact tied to the survival ambitions of the Infernal Demons. The tale frames infernal immortality as both a blessing and a curse, sustained by a consuming hunger for souls. Human souls are treated as a resource, and the existing practice of harvesting them is described as insufficient for securing the race's future.
The narrative states that souls cannot simply be stored without a proper vessel. Human bodies are identified as vessels created by the gods for souls, and this limitation drives the search for another means of containing and controlling soul power. In that context, the Soul Ring is introduced as a solution capable of holding the souls of Aragon and more.
Infernal dependence on souls
The Infernal Demons are described as having hunted humans since the dawn of their creation, feeding on pain, torment, and souls. This practice is not portrayed as mere cruelty, but as a foundational condition of their existence. Even so, individual souls are said to be inadequate for ensuring a lasting future.
Ancient power and relics
The tale refers to a time before the Infernal Demons were created, when the gods were at war. Relics from that age are said to be all that remain, and those relics are described as both powerful and deadly. The infernal search for every fragment of that power appears to lead to the discovery or activation of the Soul Ring.
The Soul Ring as a vessel
The Soul Ring is presented as a vessel designed to gather and contain vast numbers of souls. Its significance lies in scale: rather than relying on one soul at a time, it offers a way to accumulate soul power on a world-spanning level. The artifact is therefore framed as the intended foundation of a new future for the Infernal Demons.
