Open-world PvP and faction-scale battles
Open-world PvP is described as one of the defining experiences Scars of Honor aims to support. The preferred form is large faction conflict rather than one-sided ganking.
Large-scale faction battles
The ideal PvP scenario is presented as a major clash between organized groups from the Domination and the Sacred Order. Battles involving dozens of players on each side are treated as a signature MMORPG moment, especially when they emerge from community organization and roleplay rather than from isolated matchmaking.
This kind of conflict is associated with the feeling of being one participant in a much larger online war.
Preferred PvP style
Open-world PvP is valued most when it produces massive, communal battles. By contrast, the example of a high-level rogue killing a low-level mage is presented as the kind of interaction that does not showcase the strengths of PvP.
The stated direction therefore favors faction-scale confrontation and social conflict over uneven low-level harassment.
