Playtests and iterative development

Scars of Honor is described as being developed through repeated iteration supported by public-facing playtests. These tests are presented as a practical way to evaluate the game's current state and to measure whether its systems are working as intended.

Role of playtests

Community playtests provide early access to the project and are used to gather feedback on the game. The recording describes hundreds of participants attending playtests, with those sessions serving as evidence that players are engaging with the game in the intended way.

The tests are also portrayed as a source of insight into player expectations for MMORPGs. Rather than relying only on internal assumptions, the project uses direct player response to inform future changes.

Iteration and visible progress

Development is described as involving many iterations across major elements of the game. The team states that comparisons between earlier and more recent versions show major improvement over a relatively short period.

By the time of the recording, the project reports having established foundational work for environments and the combat system. That progress is presented not as final completion, but as proof that the current development process is moving in a productive direction.
