PvP test feedback and gameplay improvements
The PvP test is described as a marked improvement over an earlier PTR build. Players characterize movement and combat as cleaner, more responsive, and generally closer to the intended feel, with several comments emphasizing that the newer test feels substantially different from the previous version.
The reported improvement is not limited to combat responsiveness. Visual presentation is also described as better than in the prior test, contributing to a stronger overall gameplay impression even at an early stage of development.
Combat feel and responsiveness
Earlier testing is described as sluggish, while the newer battleground-focused PvP test is presented as much more fluid. Charged abilities in particular appear to have improved, with prior issues on some charge-up skills said to be largely reduced or removed.
Interactions involving multiple nearby targets and the environment are also described as cleaner than before. This suggests iteration not only on animation timing or input handling, but also on target interaction and general combat readability.
Class-specific issues observed in the test
Despite the broader improvement, several problems are still noted.
For the Archer, a silence effect is described as preventing the use of area-of-effect abilities. For the Knight, the leap ability is said to feel sluggish in placement, with the game sometimes failing to recognize the intended target location quickly enough. Knight ability flow is also described as occasionally delayed, with one skill not activating immediately after another.
For the Mage, one charged damage beam is identified as troublesome. It is described as continuing to lock onto a target even after that target moved behind a wall, which may indicate a targeting or line-of-sight issue, or possibly desynchronization (inferred from context).
Overall test assessment
The classes are nevertheless described as more polished than in earlier tests. The strongest non-combat complaint concerns access to the test itself, especially client entry and downloading.
Overall sentiment toward the test is positive. The build is presented as moving in a good direction from a development perspective, with players expressing interest in future PvE testing and confidence that further iteration could improve fluidity before launch.
